- Ages 12 to 15 are welcome as Associate Members.
- A parent, guardian or assigned responsible adult comes with them at all times.
- Associate Members have full access to meetings. Under the Society's constitution they do not vote at general meetings.
- Applicants under 12 are considered only at the committee's discretion.
- From 16, anyone with a genuine interest in the Art of Magic can apply as an Ordinary Member.
What a first visit looks like
Meetings are held second Tuesday monthly, 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start, at the Le Roi Function Room, Belgian Beer Café (Cnr King St & Murray St, Perth WA 6000). Regular meetings are for members and vetted guests, so please contact the committee before your first visit and they will arrange it. Meetings include member performances, informal practice (‘jam sessions’), feedback sessions and workshops.
Joining starts with attending three meetings as a guest. After that come two nominations from members, a friendly audition of three tricks, a members' vote and the Society's oath to protect magical secrets. Read the full joining process.
